❊ Meet JK

Julianne Krous, the owner of JK’s Funny Farm - has been working with animals her entire life. Through school she volunteered at shelters, groomed adoptable pets, and learned early on that animals need patience, trust, & someone who actually gets them.

After moving to Colorado she studied & worked as a veterinary technician before turning to grooming full time because grooming meant more time with animals, more one-on-one connection, & more of the work she actually loved. That philosophy became the foundation of JK Grooming, her Denver-area dog grooming business built on one simple idea: little restraint, lots of love.

JK's Funny Farm is the natural next chapter. Julie's animals aren't props, they're her pets. She knows their personalities, their quirks, what makes them comfortable, & what makes them light up around people. Add years of restaurant, catering & bartending experience to the mix, & you've got someone who's equally at home working a crowd at a wedding reception as she is wrangling a costumed alpaca at a kid's birthday party.

❊ Meet Aliya

Aliya has been riding horses for 13 years & training with Julie at JK’s Funny Farm for 5 of them. What started as a favor for a friend turned into the best job she’s ever had. She loves that every day mixes hands-on animal work with a fun, party-like atmosphere, no two days ever feel the same.

For Aliya, it’s all about the animals & the good times that come with them. She’s also one of our go-to handlers, so there’s a good chance you’ll see her at your event!

Elmer

7 years old - A lover a heart. He was rescued from Colorado Horse Rescue 4 years ago. He has been training with Aliya since then & he loves any (&all) attention.

Churro

10 years old - JK’s first farm animal. She came from the Donkey Sanctuary here in Colorado. She has a big personality & is a party animal at heart.

Pedro

1.5 years old - Our big baby. He’s a sweet, gentle & curious guy with great hair. Seriously, he has the softest fur you’ve ever felt.

Fluffle Friends

Our fluffle friends include a wallaby, goats, fluffy chickens & the softest bunnies around. They're all total sweethearts who live for cuddles & can't wait to meet you.

Come pet them, play with them & get a little fluffle therapy of your own. Every one of them loves attention just as much as you'll love giving it!
